Politics, politics, politics. We left it to last – not to put you to sleep, although all the reading of policy announcements and media releases is certainly enough to make one’s eyes glaze over in an instant – no Satellite is doing it’s three year civic duty and reminding our readers that they are part of a much bigger thing and that your voices are as important as everyone else’s – parents, lecturers, rich and famous – democracy cuts them all down to the same size – one vote. Yours is a precious thing – don’t waste it – take at least a little time to read about, listen to or watch these people who walk among us and would be our political leaders. Think about whether or not you trust them, whether they have fulfilled their promises, whether what they are offering is good not just for you but for the place in which you live and work and study.
