President’s Column: Issue 5

Wow, there is so much to talk about what with welcoming the new Execs, the Inter University Challenge, Daylight Savings, Meetings, meetings and more meetings, NZUSA, SJS, Uni Games, Graduation and the ANZAC Parade. I don’t want to bore you with the finer details as I’m guessing you don’t need that on top of your lectures (I guess it is a good thing I’m not a lecturer), so here are a couple of fun things to read about:

The chants are still ringing in my ears. Team Albany had an awesome time Uni Games, coming home as a winner with the Small Campus Trophy. A few celebratory drinks with the overall winner Victoria University finished the Uni Games excitement rather nicely. Apparently it is tradition to sleep with the trophy for a few weeks. Crazy but true.

GRADUATION:

Congratulations to all of those students who were capped last week. ASA wishes you all the best for the future. It was an exciting experience to watch and I always look to these ceremonies as an inspiration for me to finally finish Uni as, after all,
