All the Massey Ladies! Now put your hands up! Haha! Hey, it’s Helen and I am currently your Women’s Welfare Representative this year. I am available as a contact for any concerns affecting women on campus, whether it is to do with your studies, health, finances or personal problems. Also, if you would like to see more services available for women on campus or if you would like to get involved in activities or start a group or club please contact me either on email womensrep@asa.ac.nz or phone 09 441 8121 and I will be happy to help. Part of my role involves attending meetings such as the Health and Safety committee bi-monthly meetings and the Disabled Students committee meetings so if you as a student think that there are any issues worth mentioning it would be great to know.
This September I will be involved in organising a Women’s Festival on campus so if you would like to be a part of it or if you have any suggestions about what you would like in it feel free to drop me a line! A little bit about myself, I am a post-graduate student studying towards a diploma in Business Administration, Management. I have been studying at Massey University on/off since 2000 and I was involved in ASA from 2001-2002. I enjoy Christian fellowship, socialising, basketball, travelling, snowboarding, rock-climbing and meeting new people. I’m looking forward to another fun year on ASA and I hope to get to know some of you soon! The best way to meet would be to come along to the Ferguson bar on Wednesday lunchtimes from 12-2pm where ASA executive members hand out free pizzas to the students but get in quick because they run out fast! Sweet as and have a great year at Massey!
